Marie Vander Kloet
Marie Vander Kloet received her PhD from the Department of Sociology and Equity Studies in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto in 2010. As a graduate student, she had the privilege of working as a Coordinator in the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program which put her on a path towards work in educational development. Prior to joining CTSI, Marie worked at McMaster University in the McMaster Institute for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning as an educational consultant. Her portfolio included graduate student development, accessibility and equity, faculty development, curriculum and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Marie collaborates with colleagues provincially and nationally on issues and research related to graduate student development. Marie’s current research focuses on three areas of higher education: graduate student teaching and professional development; contingent faculty, labour and pedagogy, and accessibility and equity in higher education.
