Curriculum Developer, TATP
Kathleen Ogden worked with the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program as a graduate student peer trainer on the Humanities training team, and also by the English Language and Writing Support (ELWS) office in the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) where she teaches courses, leads workshops, and provides one-on-one counselling to graduate students looking to improve their writing and editing skills. Kathleen has also worked as a Lead Writing TA for the Writing Instruction for TAs (WIT) program in the Faculty of Arts & Science and also has many years of experience teaching as a Course Instructor and Teaching Assistant in undergraduate courses on all three campuses. Kathleen’s educational background – she has a BSc in Molecular Biology – means that she is equally comfortable discussing how to assess student writing as she is discussing how to lead an effective wet lab. Kathleen is in the process of completing a PhD in English here at U of T (hoping to defend soon!).
