Faculty Liaison, Teaching and Learning
Jasjit has a PhD in Adult Education from OISE /U of T and brings an interdisciplinary understanding to her role as a faculty developer. She has worked with faculty on a range of teaching-related issues as well as taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. She also has extensive experience creating deep learning experiences for students online and in face to face classrooms through designing curriculum that is experiential and builds skills in critical thinking, collaboration and self-awareness. She has a keen professional interest in e-learning and creating community in online classrooms, peer learning, instructor presence, experiential and active learning, transformative learning and creating safe and inclusive learning environments. Jasjit is a published author, has developed workshops on mindfulness, diversity and inclusion for educators and has also been involved in multiple research initiatives, including many tri-council funded studies and is very familiar with qualitative methods and human subject research protocols.
