Description:

Have you been hearing about “personalized learning” for students and wondering what that buzzword means? Curious about how your colleagues are putting new student-centred strategies into practice by leveraging online resources? At this event we’ll demystify the idea of “personalization” as we explore several approaches that introduce elements of flexible, authentic and active learning. Join us for an opportunity to see a range of examples of innovative new digital curriculum projects recently funded by the provincial government and find out how the lead instructors are engaging and supporting undergraduate learners. This event will serve as both a showcase and a forum for exchange of ideas on leveraging technology to enhance curriculum design.

Faculty Presenters include:

  • Arash Shahi/Brenda McCabe – Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering (Civil Engineering)
  • Jean-Paul Restoule – OISE (Leadership, Higher and Adult Education)
  • Marcus Law – Faculty of Medicine (Undergraduate Medicine)
  • Frances Garrett – Arts and Science (Study of Religion)
  • Johann Bayer – UTSC (Physics)
  • Doug Bors – UTSC (Psychology)

This workshop is a co-sponsored event by the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation and the ITS – Online Learning Strategies portfolio.
