Tune into Teaching: Generative AI and the Library in Teaching and Learning

University of Toronto Libraries offers a growing range of resources to support instructors navigating generative AI in their teaching, from the UTL Framework for AI Literacy to emerging work on AI-ready collections, licensing, and research tools. Rather than a how-to, this session offers a wayfinding tour of library resources that support teaching and learning. Participants will explore how considerations such as intellectual property, privacy, and users’ inputs shape engagement with AI-enabled tools. These span AI literacy instruction, and considerations for working with AI-enabled databases and research tools. 
Learning Outcomes: 
• Become familiar with the UTL Framework for AI Literacy 
• Explore the range of library supports available to instructors 
• Recognize how generative AI is shaping search practices and information discovery
• Identify resources, including copyright and licensing guidance, to integrate into your teaching
