An Introduction to Open Educational Resources (OERs) for Staff & Faculty

Presented by the eCampus Ontario OER Rangers Program

Open Educational Resources offer an opportunity for educators to build upon, revise, reuse already built educational materials. To date there are over 2 million Open Educational Resources available to educators and learners that range in topic and medium. By joining the OER community you can contribute to bodies of knowledge creating better materials for learners around the world. In this session, learn:

– what Open Education Resources are and why they may be useful,
– how and where to find Open Educational Resources, and
– how to create Open Educational Resources

This session is introductory, best suited for staff and faculty who are new to Open Educational Resources.
