This Equity Roundtable will focus on supporting students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) under the umbrella of neurodiversity. Instructors and teaching assistants will learn about ASD, strategies to support students with ASD, and working with Accessibility Services. The presenters will provide suggestions for inclusive instructional design for teaching, evaluation, and crafting a syllabus. This presentation will also expand attendees' conceptualization of participation/engagement in the classroom. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and actively engage in case studies. Resources will be provided at the end of the presentation.
