What Can I Use It For?

Instructors can use SpeedGrader to view, comment, and grade student submissions directly within the browser.

Speedgrader can be used to provide timely, high-quality feedback.  By streamlining grading, instructors can provide meaningful feedback quickly—supporting student learning and motivation.  Multimodal feedback options are available in speedgrader including text, audio, video, and in-document annotations to help communicate feedback more clearly.  Assignments and Quizzes are automatically added and integrated into Speedgrader to improve your grading workflow.  Students receive their feedback directly within your Quercus course.

Special Notes

Multiple Graders using Speedgrader at the same time

If multiple Graders are accessing Speedgrader at the same time to grade student submissions, it is possible for grades and comments to be overwritten or lost.

To prevent this, it is suggested to schedule grading periods to allow each Grader to access submissions in an individual time slot.

If grading periods must overlap, it is recommended to refresh the page every time you open a new student submission, to ensure you are seeing the latest updates.
