Themed Workshop Request: Generative AI
The University of Toronto recognizes the transformative potential of generative AI in higher education and is committed to supporting its responsible integration into teaching and learning practices. To support this strategic priority, the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) is offering a series of workshops designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to address generative AI capabilities and to responsibly incorporate their use into teaching practices. Together, these sessions will guide participants to explore practical applications of AI in education, reimagine learning outcomes and assessments, and gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, all while fostering a critical examination of the role of AI literacy across teaching contexts.
This introductory workshop will explore how educators can leverage generative AI thoughtfully in teaching and learning contexts. Participants will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, learn effective prompting strategies, and explore ways to redesign assessments in light of AI availability. This introductory workshop will explore how educators can leverage generative AI thoughtfully in teaching and learning contexts.
