Continuing the Work of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Following her incredibly powerful and extremely well-received closing plenary at the 2023 Teaching and Learning Symposium, we are fortunate to be able to welcome back to U ofT keynote speaker Andratesha Friztgerald for a deeper dive into re-designing learning experiences using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. Building on her keynote presentation "Power and Empowerment: Honouring by Decision and Design," which examined notions of power and empowerment and how they influence our pedagogical decisions, designs and outcomes, participants in this follow-up webinar will explore a shared understanding of the UDL framework and begin to apply UDL approaches to the design of flexible and responsive curricula and courses.

Universal Design for Learning requires both art and science for implementation.  Join us for a workshop that combines presentation and exploration to begin building universally designed products for student learning.
