FAS Getting Ready for Winter 2024 (Part 2): Fostering Student Engagement

Instructors teaching in the Faculty of Arts & Science are invited to join two upcoming sessions to kick off the Winter 2024 semester. In this two-part series, our Teaching & Learning team will focus first on course planning and design and second, on fostering student engagement.

Part II: Fostering Student Engagement will focus on engaging students, establishing instructor presence in the classroom, and fostering a positive learning environment. The session will include active learning strategies and suggestions for digital teaching and learning tools and platforms like Quercus, H5P, and collaborative annotation (Leganto, Hypothesis), which can encourage engagement and enhance student learning experiences.
