The upcoming A&S Teaching & Learning Community of Practice session will showcase two presentations that explore teaching and assessment in the age of generative artificial intelligence (AI):
“Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) in education: Use of PrivateGPT for tailored responses to student questions based on course content” — Michelle French, Professor, Teaching Stream, Physiology, and Nohjin Kee, Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, Physiology
“Pre-emptive Strategies for Mitigating Generative AI in the Writing Classroom” — Daniel Adleman, Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, Writing & Rhetoric, Innis College
A Q&A and discussion will follow the presentations.
The Teaching & Learning Community of Practice (CoP) showcases innovative teaching practices and strategies from Arts & Science instructors. This year, there are 11 CoP sessions covering a wide array of pedagogical topics.
