In this session intended for academic administrators and University staff supporting teaching award nominations, we will:
- Discuss approaches to identifying and supporting potential candidates for teaching awards and share strategies for crafting powerful narratives about teaching award nominees
- Learn from faculty who have been successful candidates for teaching awards
- Share a brief overview of the criteria and the nomination process for several awards. This includes the University of Toronto’s President’s Teaching Award, the Cheryl Regehr Early Career Teaching Award and the Northrop Frye Awards as well as external awards such as the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) Awards and the 3M National Teaching Fellowship.
